The work

Storm damage

Tarping, then the permanent repair

Water stopped first, repaired properly once it is dry. Every finding photographed and dated, in the format an insurance assessor actually wants.

Gutters & downpipes

Replacement, realignment, leaf guard

Most overflowing gutters are a fall problem rather than a blockage. We measure the fall before quoting you a replacement you may not need.

Leak tracing

Flood testing, not guesswork

The stain on a ceiling is rarely underneath the hole. We flood test to find the true entry point instead of resealing everything and hoping.

Full re-roofs

Colorbond and tile

Fixed price, fixed finish date, old roof taken away. Only recommended when a repair genuinely will not hold — and we show you why.

Inspections & reports

Free, no obligation

Photographs, findings and recommendations in writing. Useful before buying a house, after a storm, or when an insurer wants a second opinion.

Body corporate & landlords

Scheduled, invoiced monthly

Inspections across multiple properties, one report per building, tenants notified the day before anybody arrives on site.

What it costs

Roofing is quoted per job. These are the figures every quote starts from — published, so you are not guessing.

$68 / m

$95 / m
Full re-roof, standard house
Colorbond over battens, sarking, all flashings, old roof removed and disposed of. From:
$14,500

Every job over $3,300 gets a written quote and a QBCC-compliant contract before work starts, because that is the law in Queensland. If rotten battens turn up once the roof is open, work stops and you get a call with photographs and a price — never a surprise on the final invoice.

Two other mobs quoted me a full re-roof. Ironbark photographed the actual problem — about six metres of ridge capping — and fixed it for under a grand.

Questions, answered in full

Will my insurance cover storm damage to the roof?

Usually yes for sudden storm damage, and usually no for gradual wear that was already there. Ironbark provides a written report with dated photographs that separates the two clearly, which is what an assessor needs. We deal directly with your insurer's assessor if you want us to, and we do not inflate a quote because an insurer is paying.

How quickly can you get a tarp on after a storm?

During a major storm event we prioritise by how much water is entering the building, not by who called first. Homes with active water ingress into living areas are typically tarped within twenty four hours. We will tell you honestly on the phone where you sit in that queue rather than promising a time we cannot hold.

Do I need a full re-roof, or can it be repaired?

Most roofs we look at can be repaired. A re-roof is genuinely warranted when the sheeting has corroded through at multiple fixing points, when battens have rotted, or when more than about a third of tiles are cracked. We photograph what we find and quote the repair option first, with the re-roof as a comparison, so you can see the reasoning rather than take our word for it.

Are you licensed and insured?

Ironbark holds QBCC licence 00000000 for roof and wall cladding, and carries $20 million public liability plus workers compensation cover. Certificates go out with every quote automatically, so you do not have to ask for them. Anyone who will not show you a QBCC number before starting roof work should not be on your roof.

What should I do right now if water is coming in?

Move what you can out of the way and put a bucket under it. If the ceiling is bulging with trapped water, pierce it deliberately at the lowest point with a screwdriver so it drains in one spot instead of collapsing the whole sheet. Switch off power to that part of the house at the board if water is anywhere near a light fitting, and do not go onto the roof yourself in the wet.

Where we work

Yard in Coopers Plains. Regular work through Sunnybank, Mount Gravatt, Holland Park, Annerley, Moorooka, Salisbury, Yeronga, Indooroopilly, Kenmore, Chapel Hill and Sherwood.

Storm callouts run wider than this list when a front comes through.

Have it looked at before the next one hits.

The inspection and the written report cost nothing. Worst case, you find out the roof is fine and you stop thinking about it.
