“Told me the battery was fine and the problem was a corroded earth strap. Fixed it in twenty minutes. The place up the road had already quoted me a battery and an alternator.”

Questions.

Does a mobile service void my new car warranty?

No. Under Australian Consumer Law a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because someone other than the dealer serviced the car. Kerbside Auto stamps your logbook, uses parts that meet or exceed manufacturer specification, and gives you an itemised invoice — which is exactly what a dealer needs to see if a warranty claim is ever made.

What do you need from me on the day?

A parking space with about a metre of clearance on the driver's side, and your keys. That is it. We carry our own power, lighting, tools, oil and waste containment, so we do not need access to your house, your tap or your power point. Most customers leave the keys and go to work.

Can you work in an apartment carpark or a work carpark?

Usually yes. We carry $20 million public liability insurance and can send the certificate straight to a building manager or facilities team if they ask for it before approving access. Underground carparks with a height limit under 2.1 metres are the one place we sometimes cannot fit the van.

What happens if you find something else wrong?

We stop and call you before touching it. You get told what it is, what it costs, and whether it is urgent or can wait until the next service. Nothing extra goes on the invoice without you saying yes first, and if you decline you pay only for the work you originally booked.

How long does a logbook service take in my driveway?

A standard four cylinder logbook service takes about ninety minutes. Brakes add roughly an hour. We give you a two hour arrival window rather than a vague morning or afternoon, and we send a text when the van is fifteen minutes away.

Tell us the car and the suburb.

We will confirm a two hour window by text.
